For the second year we enjoyed having  Rhonda Williams from Columbia State. She is the Enrollment Recruiter who came to speak to our junior and seniors at the Alternative School and Northfield Academy.

At Horace O. Porter School where we strive to educate and empower. Our primary focus is facilitating academic achievement as we provide services to promote college and career readiness. Financial fitness is addressed through a specialized presentation for our high school students. We place emphasis on the Seven Keys to College and Career readiness. Additional areas of focus for our students include, but are not limited to: healthy life style choices, drug and alcohol counseling, social media safety, and bullying and harassment prevention. Timely topics such as human trafficking are addressed when they arise. Group sessions target individual needs such as anger management, conflict resolution, abuse and neglect and family issues.
